Sheffield United are approaching a critical transfer window. Following their Championship play-off final defeat, the Blades need to build a squad capable of mounting another promotion push.

What's at Stake?

Sheffield United must make difficult decisions on players whose futures may lie elsewhere. Recruitment will be crucial, but so too will player sales.

Players to Sell

Rhys Norrington-Davies is one player who could be sold. His Sheffield United career has never really recovered from injury setbacks. At one stage, Norrington-Davies looked like a player with a bright future at Bramall Lane. However, injuries have robbed him of momentum.

Alternative Options

Sam McCallum and Harrison Burrows offer alternative options at left-back. McCallum is an athletic, powerful option, while Burrows brings composure in possession. Nils Zatterstrom is another player who could be sold. The Swedish defender is still only at the beginning of his career, but Sheffield United need defenders who can contribute immediately.

Transfer Window Priorities

Centre-back is the area of the squad most in need of strengthening this summer. The Blades currently have Japhet Tanganga and Mark McGuinness at the club, but neither are fan favourites. Sheffield United need to create room in the squad and generate transfer income where possible. With QPR reportedly impressed by Norrington-Davies' performances during his loan spell, this feels like the perfect opportunity for the Blades to strike a deal.
