Sheffield United could welcome back three injured players for their Championship match against Lincoln City this Saturday. Manager Chris Wilder is hopeful defenders Femi Seriki and Harrison Burrows, along with forward Ryan One, will be fit for the Bramall Lane encounter.
"Sheffield United went into the international break with three injury absentees they hoped to have back for Lincoln City’s visit to Bramall Lane on Saturday," said Wilder. The club's recent form has been mixed, with two consecutive losses following a run of three straight wins, leaving them 18th in the table. They last played on 19 September, losing 2-1 away to Stoke City, a result that left them four points from the play-offs and four above the relegation zone.
Seriki, a right-back, and Burrows, who operates on the left, would provide key defensive depth. Their return would give Wilder more tactical flexibility in the wing-back positions. Forward Ryan One is also working towards a comeback, while Tahith Chong is further ahead in his recovery. Chong played 33 minutes for Curacao during the break, scoring in a 4-3 win over Costa Rica, which should aid his match sharpness.
The international pause offered a chance to reset after the Stoke defeat and work on fitness. United will now assess the trio's progress ahead of finalising their team selection. The full squad list and the upcoming fixtures are available on the club site. The match against Lincoln kicks off at 15:00 on 10 October.
